In the meantime, here is some information that can help you maximize your cardio workouts…….
Cardiovascular exercise is an integral part of every good fitness program. It not only burns fat and makes you feel better, but it is a great tool for disease prevention. Exercise can prevent obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, depression, joint disorder, and many other life altering diseases.

Every person wants to be as healthy, but we also want to look our best. Cardio will help look great and feel confident. Here are a few tips that can help you maximize your time in the gym by increasing your cardio workout benefits."

Using a weight bearing exercise can double the amount of calories you burn in a workout. A weight bearing exercise is when you are not supported by a seat, such as on a recumbent bike. Supporting your body’s weight, on a treadmill, elliptical, or stair climber, increases the demand on your body and results in more calories being expended.

Interval training. Rather than an entire cardio workout at one speed, try changing the intensity with speed, resistance, and inclination a few minutes at a time. This will make your body work harder and force it to burn more calories. You may also continue to burn calories after your workout as your body adapts to the levels of intensity you’ve just exposed it to. Fitistics is capable of monitoring your heart rate with the use of existing heart-rate monitors on machines. You will now be able to track how quickly you can recover to your resting heart rate on the Fitistics system.

Good Form. Keep perfect posture by keeping your shoulders back, your chin up, and your abs slightly tightened. This will ensure that you are using the appropriate muscles in your cardio workout. The cardio machine handles should only be used to stabilize your body when necessary. Keeping your hands off the handles, as much as possible, will develop balance and force your body to support more weight.

Stretching: You can prevent injuries by stretching before and after your workout, but don’t bounce. Bouncing can cause injuries. Instead, hold the stretch for about 20 seconds an interval to relax the muscles and promote flexibility.

Consult: Speak with your local fitness professional and personal care physician about the exercise that best suits you.
